FROM THE CRATER 2

The sister painting to From The Crater, this huge mural depicts an altogether more triumphant scene. Soldiers emerge from a dugout, the Kosovo war is over. Their arms are raised to the sky, from which death rained down for so long. I sold this piece in 2015, but sadly it feels particularly poignant again now, with war raging in Eastern Europe again.
